Played Los Robles in Thousand Oaks
Had a good day today at Los Robles and played very well. Basically had three bad holes - one of them an eight - yikes! I also three putted five times and these greens are not that big or fast so no excuse. But I really did play very well - hit about 10 greens in regulation, got up and down several times, mostly played from the center of the fairway, made a couple birdies and had some good chances for some more.

Tee shot: Driver Fairway Shot: 8 Iron Putts: 2 Notes: Hit my eight iron stiff! Had a 4 footer for two birdies in a row but missed on the low side | ![]() |

Tee shot: Driver Fairway Shot: 3 Wood Out of the Rough: 4 Iron Putts: 3 Notes: Great drive, push / sliced my three wood into the trees. Punched a 4 iron under / through a bunch of trees 100 yards onto the center of the green (a shot I practiced on the range last year) Three putted from there though - yuck. | ![]() |

Tee shot: Driver Out of the Rough: 4 Iron Pitches: 1 Putts: 1 Notes: Disaster Strikes. Hit a decent drive at that hill on the left but never found the ball (Lost ball = stroke and distance +2). Dropped where I thought it was which was a severe ball below your feet stance in some rough. Straight up shanked my 4 iron into the sun. I saw it land near the cartpath on the other side of the fairway but could not find it - a second lost ball +2 strokes. Pitched up and made the putt for a SNOWMAN 8. | ![]() |

Tee shot: 7 Iron Pitches: 1 Chips: 1 Putts: 1 Notes: My seven iron landed pin high right of the green where there used to be a trap with an oak tree in the middle of it. They have remodeled and now it is just the oak tree surrounded by hardpack covered in bark chips. Pitched out of the bark chips just off the back of the green and got up and down from there. | ![]() |

Tee shot: Driver Fairway Shot: 5 Iron Pitches: 1 Putts: 3 Notes: Best drive of the day here and I had been driving it well all day (other than the first hole). I kidded with my foursome saying I had to get that 8 out of my system from two holes ago - there might have been some anger in that swing. Topped my 5 iron approach, pitched up and then three putted again - ouch. | ![]() |

Tee shot: 3 Wood Fairway Shot: 8 Iron Putts: 1 Notes: BIRDIE!! Hit my eight iron to 1 foot! My man Darin still made me putt it though. Straight up hill 1 footers I can make! Playing partner Greg also birdied here and Kristen just missed a curling 4-5 footer for her birdie. The patrons watching from the club house must have thought we were pros! - Patrons? I mean spectators on the balcony eating - must be Masters Week! | ![]() |
