Eat Golf's one year Blogoversary!

Eat Golf is one year old today! Not sure if the term should be Blog-o-versary, Blogiversary, Blogsday, Blogday, Blog-o-irthday, Blogbirthday (or acronymed BBD) - whatever; Blogoversary sounds the best so that is what I am going with.

I would like to thank all of you that read or subscribe to Eat Golf. Some of you have been around since the beginning, and others just recently found Eat Golf. The number of readers has increased every month and the more readers there are the more rewarding this site is to make.

It has been a fast year and I am having more fun than ever with the site. Besides all the wonderful traffic Eat Golf gets, I?ve made quite a few new friends through email, through comments, and through other golf sites. I really enjoy reading what others have to say about the world of golf. You can find my favorite sites on the side bar on the home page but some of the best are Hooked on Golf Blog, No Three Putts (on hiatus), The Reluctant Jam Boy, and Grouchy Golf Blog - too many more to list here so check the other 15 on the blogroll - any site that gets put on there is worth a visit when you get a chance. I also enjoy spending time lurking at the various golf forums . So much so that I often use up all my free time at those golf sites and forums instead of posting anything new here.

So, thanks to all the readers, commenters, emailers, bloggers, and forum posters out there. You have really made this a fun year. Please raise your glass for a toast - may there be many more years of rants about trying to shoot one under, the latest Bandaid putting fix, the hottest new equipment, hitting long drives, fairways and greens. Heres to you!! Cake and ice cream in the back *Now Milton, don't be greedy, lets pass it along and make sure everyone gets a piece*

107 blog posts in 26 categories
61 rounds of golf played (kept detailed stats on 43 of those golf games)
Played 18 different golf courses (261 golf holes have pictures and about 1/3 of those have a hole strategy write up)
Eat Golf has 51 company product review pages (most a work in progress)
Two weeks after building what I assumed was a new invention for the internet (the interactive photo mosaic of Fred Couples) somebody one upped me by letting you create your own (using Flickr photos instead of yahoo images, and built in Flash instead of php) A real fluke that we thought of the same project weeks apart - he stole my memethunder though! My mosaic is actually a little cooler than his because the pictures are full size proportionally on mouseover where his is cropped into little squares
Eat Golf's home page comes up number 3 in google if you search for golf blog and that term is not used anywhere on the home page or anywhere on the site. - Well - now it is..
