Third Hole

183 yard par 3 3rd hole at the Calabasas Golf & Country Club

Wide narrow green if that makes sense. There is a deep swale in the front of this green that wraps around to the left. I hear it was once a small lake but it was so difficult they got rid of it to speed up play (not that pace of play is ever a problem at CCC). One or two people in every foursome will find themselves down in that thing with a lob wedge thinking about a Phil Mickelson flop shot.

What I've shot on this hole:

4 ON 07-14-2004:

Tee shot: 6 Iron
Pitches: 1
Putts: 2
Notes: Tee shot caught a tree limb
2 ON 08-11-2004:
Tee shot: 6 Iron - Pull
Putts: 1
5 ON 09-08-2004:
Tee shot: 6 Iron
Chips: 1
Putts: 3
4 ON 04-13-2005:
Tee shot: 5 Iron
Pitches: 1
Putts: 2
Notes: Took 5 iron instead of 6 because of the wind and the back right hole location. Hit a pure 5 at the center of the green but it came up just short and rolled down to the bottom of that frontage grass bunker where I have been a million times. Nice flop but about 5 feet short and missed the putt.
4 ON 06-26-2005:
Tee shot: 8 Iron
Chips: 1
Putts: 2
