Third Hole

The 3rd hole at the Moorpark Country Club Ridgeline Creekside (Blue Tees)

549 yard par 5

Three shot par five here. Driver a little left of those two power poles is perfect. From there it is a layup just short of a ravine that fronts the green. Actually there is no ravine on the right front of the green so if you are trying to get home, or left yourself in range after two - favor the right side of the green so if you come up short you will still be in play (there is a trap down there on that line as well). This green is as wide as a fairway but not very deep at all. There is a ridge that runs through the middle of it back to front that basically makes it two greens - be on the correct side of that ridge or you're looking at bogey.

If you push or slice one you're headed at the second fairway so yell fore. I've been up there and it's not too bad. 5 or 6 iron layup will get you in position A but be left with that layup or you'll catch the junk on the right that isn't visible from up there.

This is the Ridgeline nine
