My Current Driver Swing

Set up
- I need to remember to stand a little closer than what feels natural to me at the moment, arms not hanging straight down but not much higher than straight. Shaft lines up with left arm with the clubface pointing square to the target or a little bit open is ok. Both feet should be fanned out a little. Set up a bit open to the target line with the feet but square the shoulders or even close the shoulders just a notch (what looks or feels closed to me is most likely right on the target line). Weight on your right side

Take away
- Head perfectly still here. - feel the left arm bringing the club back on the inside (I should be able to see peripherally my left elbow all straight and going to the inside) ? remember if you don't make a big enough shoulder turn you will pull it (even if you don?t bring the club up that far you still have to turn those shoulders).

Downswing
- bring the club a little below the plane and stay on your right side. Don?t start any kind of hitting motion yet ? keep those wrist set and think about getting your hands in front of the ball before adding any power.

Right before impact
- put a little right hand into it. Adding some force with your right hand helps get you into the correct follow though positions.

Follow-through before parallel
- as your hands pass the ball push with your right arm almost like a piston motion - feel almost a reverse pivot motion with your head - this extends the right arm all the way(let your wrists hinge so the club and your arm make an L shape) and keeps you behind the ball. This happens so fast I often don?t get to do this ? especially if I messed up the downswing.

Follow-through after parallel
- as your right elbow begins to bend, pull your left elbow towards your back and bring your right arm in to your chest without it bending as much. This pulling motion with your left arm is a conscious move and it keeps your head behind the ball, keeps you in balance, and keeps your shoulders spinning until they stop.
