New Golf Shoes
Golf shoes are always a hassle because I have wide feet and the ones that I like are way too expensive. Not that I really care about fashion or whatever; I just don't want to wear cheap shoes because cheap always means uncomfortable. My previous pair from Etonic were just fantastic (other than the black sock staining situation). So I went with Etonic again. Not before looking at Footjoy and Nike. My thoughts were "hey, that's right, isn't Nike a shoe company?" They have all kinds of products out there but at their core do they still make good shoes? - Yeah they do, but none that I really liked the look of, or that were in my ballpark price-wise. Same deal with Footjoy - What is up with this Only $250 - Save $100 type pricing. To me it seems like $125 would be where I max out on what I want to pay for golf shoes. That is about what I pay for my regular dress shoes. I'm not playing Augusta National here. These shoes are for walking around in the mud for 5 hours and then getting thrown into the back of my trunk smashed by stuff until the next time I play. I guess I am in the minority here because shoe companies seem to either have 40 dollar junk or 150 dollar nice stuff. Where are the $75 shoes? I found some and was hesitant to buy shoes online without trying them on but I did. $80 free shipping from Amazon* which is really The Golf Warehouse.
I picked the ugly ones: They sure look comfortable though :)
