Punched 4 iron

Almost once a round I get in a spot where I have to punch out under a tree where the green is 100 or 150 away. Sometimes you need to put a hook or a slice on it but you always need to be accurate to thread the needle through the trees.

Today for the first time ever I practiced this shot on the range. It is a fun shot to practice and I think I will practice it every time I go to the range. Play the ball back in your stance. Take the club back halfway, hit down sharp with a real abbreviated follow through.
