Site is up!

It will take me a few days to code the back end to all this; I now know what I will be doing over the 4th of July weekend. Not sure if I like the green color scheme. Just because it is a site about golf does not necessarily decree the site be green does it? How about the color of bunkers or barranca or the dark woods on the right side of the fairway? Pine straw and mud color perhaps?

I don't really care what color this site is, as long as it is easy to read. I chose *Arial* as the font because it is a 'sans serif' font. *cough* not because it is the first font that comes up in my word processor program *cough* (Just like the phone book - if it starts with 'A' it must be good!)

For those of you that don't know: serifs are the extra little lines that get put on letters to make them fancy.

Example:
T with serifs T without serifs (without = sans :: sans serif = without serifs)

See the extra lines under the top edges and at the bottom of that first T - that makes it harder on your eyes to read, or easier to read, depending on the size of the font. I guess you are supposed to use serifs in the main body text but not in the headlines - or it might be the other way around - but no matter, this font arial looks very readable in both the body and the headers so I am going with it!

Now that you know what sans serif means you can impress all your golf buddies with computer geek trivia!

Anyway, for now, the site will be the cliche green and white, but as I get more involved here don't be surprised if the site turns into a color more my style - like that of a water hazard...
