Seventeenth Hole

The Seventeenth hole at the Sterling Hills Golf Club (Blue Tees)

429 yard par 4

<< Previous Hole 16 | Next Hole 18 >>

What I've shot on this hole:

5 ON 07-26-2004:

Tee shot: Driver
Fairway Shot: 5 Iron - Thin
Approach Shot: Pitching Wedge
Putts: 2
Notes: Great Drive, then badly misshit a 5 iron - I think I was getting tired and started the swing from the top with all upper body spin out amateur style swing. Then hit a fantastic pitching wedge 100 yards into the wind to about 4 feet. The ball balloned way up but stayed right on line with the flag the whole way - fun to watch.
5 ON 08-09-2004:
Tee shot: Driver - Slice
Out of the Rough: 5 Iron - Pull
Approach Shot: 4 Iron
Chips: 1
Putts: 1
Notes: Sliced my drive, pulled my layup into a stand of trees 30 yards in front of me, then smoked a 4 iron right at the flag - and right over it - and right over the green. Laying three and I'm not even on the green yet - this is where my round falls apart normally but I chipped to 3 feet and made it to save bogey!
4 ON 08-28-2004:
Tee shot: Driver
Fairway Shot: 3 Wood
Putts: 2
4 ON 09-10-2004:
Tee shot: Driver
Fairway Shot: 3 Wood
Putts: 2
6 ON 04-20-2005:

Pitches: 1
Putts: 3
7 ON 05-02-2005:

Putts: 2
Notes: topped my three wood
