SNEAK PREVIEW: New section to Eat Golf
As a computer geek, I'm very good at shopping for stuff online. I can find stuff cheaper than anybody. Surfing all over the place to get the best deal. I thought about it and wondered if there was someway to automate that search. I mean, instead of me going to ebay.com and typing in "Titleist 975d" and then bookmarking it and then going to amazon.com and doing a search there for "Titleist 975d" and then going to all the other stores I could think of - I wondered if I could have my computer do all the searches for me and just bring me back a list.. Two months and million hours of programming later, I actually have something that does it! It is still in the rough draft stage and I have a todo list that is a mile long but it looks to be working well enough for you see it and try it out. Hard to describe the finished product; it's sort of a comparison shopping engine for golf products but you are the one that has to do the comparing. What it does is search all the stores on the net that sells that product and then lists where it found and for how much. It's like a shopping pimp for all you golf club ho's out there. It does this in real time and grabs prices from places like Amazon, ebay, TGW, Golfsmith, and about 85 THOUSAND other stores. It's a search engine but only for golf products Search for something, golf balls, drivers, whatever - and make sure that you scroll down to see all the results. After it finds products you can sort by clicking on price (about halfway down the page on the far right)
I've found that sorting by price isn't as cool as you would think because it lists all the cheaper accessories rather than what you are looking for (headcovers instead of drivers etc.) So I have it start with relevance as the default But that's just details Click here and give it a try
Don't forget to bookmark it if you're a club ho
