Trophy!
Last Monday I played in a scramble and we won first place! We shot 14 under. Just like Last year's tournament I somehow had my A game with the driver and putter. Each player had to use two drives and once again I was the D player in the group but we used 9 of my drives! I was putting lights out also. Since I am the least best putter in the group I always putted first so those guys could get a read - basically the guinea pig putt on each hole - but I made like a 25 foot curling bomb right off on the first hole and hardly ever missed from the ten foot range - it was incredible. Scrambles are sure fun when you are playing well. This is one of the three tournaments that I look forward to all year and it really meant a lot to me that I was playing so well, and in the zone. I played well enough that one of the players in my group invited me to to play *Big V* (Valencia Country Club) that Wednesday. AWESOME! I had only walked it one time when the Nissan Open played there a few years ago. Playing Valencia I somehow lost my long game but scrambled for an 83 with 4 penalty strokes on the day. I took lots of pictures of Big V and have all the scorecard details and stuff and that will be my next post. Still working like a dog on the directory of California golf courses by the way. Making some progress but still have a long way to go. You can see the work in progress by clicking here then clicking on a city name, then clicking on a course...
