Upper Body

These were the first swings of the day - I wanted to get a video before I had a bunch of swing thoughts I was working on. So I guess this would be as close to my current natural swing as I can get.

The driving range where I was has these concrete dividers separating the bays so you can only see the top half of my swing.

3 warm up swings with my 7 iron

I noticed a few problems with my swing from this angle:

My head moves a lot. I move it about 4 inches away and up from the target on the back swing and then it dips down through impact and then it moves forward and up on the follow through. If you put your mouse pointer over the logo on my visor at address you can see the logo move in sort of a J shape during the swing.

I slightly came over the top on each swing - I think because I brought the club back too far to the inside. Tough to see at full speed but if you pause the video and watch the swing frame by frame it is obvious.

I don?t turn my shoulders enough on the back swing

I don?t take the club back very far.

You can see my receding hair line when I wear a visor - no wonder my forehead always gets sunburned!
